Lunch Time Supervisor needed for primary school in Tamworth

The right candidate will be needed between the hours of 12.00 until 1.20pm to supervise both key Stage 1 & 2

Within this role, the school also require a Key Holder which will see you locking up the school and attended any call outs necessary.

Your main purpose is to ensure the supervision, safeguarding, security, safety and good conduct of pupils during the lunch break.

As a Lunchtime Supervisor / Key Holder:

  • Supervise pupils in the dining hall, playgrounds and school premises, including the toilets and cloakrooms.
  • To supervise pupils in the dinner queue and ensure pupils line up in an orderly fashion.
  • Assist with clearing tables, return of trays and the orderly stacking and clearing of dirty trays and cups.
  • Supervise and assist pupils with lunches and ensure clearance of waste.
  • Maintaining good order and discipline among pupils and safeguarding their health and safety.
  • Encouraging children to play, and helping with play activities if required.
  • Making sure that children do not leave the school premises or go into areas of the school that are out of bounds.
  • Cleaning up spillages and making sure that tables are clean.
  • Listening to pupils, dealing with situations as they arise. Reporting to teaching staff when necessary.
  • Being vigilant and raising concerns about individual pupils or groups of pupils to the Head Teacher or Deputy Head.
  • Implementing, the school rules and school policies, in particular safeguarding of children.
  • To attend meetings and courses connected to the post.
  • Willing to work outdoors in all weathers.
  • Ability to understand and comply with work instructions (written and verbal)
  • Methodical approach to supervising and organising.

CPSS requires all teachers to have a fully enhanced DBS check, minimum of two references plus a face-to-face interview.
