Are you an experienced Primary Teacher looking for a Year 5 teacher position in South-West London? Would you consider yourself to be a professional and organised teacher with confidence to teach your own Year 5 class? An inclusive 2 form entry school in the London Borough of Richmond currently have a vacancy for a Year 5 teacher. The position starts in January 2019, for a minimum of two terms (but likely longer).

The Headteacher encourages high academic standards, and places great emphasis on the importance of educating 'children as a whole', within a supportive environment. The school's ethos is centred on teaching children values and life skills, as well as equipping them with the knowledge needed to succeed in the future. The school is well equipped with new resources and children benefit from learning materials which also help teachers bring lessons to life! The school is within walking distance of 2 mainline stations but can also be reached by a number of local bus routes. The Headteacher is keen to recruit a hardworking Year 5 teacher who shares the schools core values.

The Year 5 teacher must have:

  • Full QTS (or equivalent teaching qualifications)
  • A solid understanding of the UK primary curriculum
  • Experience teaching in Key Stage 2 (preferably Year 5)
  • Excellent classroom management skills
  • Professionalism, adaptability and a hard-working attitude
  • The ability to engage well with colleagues, children and their parents
