Teaching Assistant job vacancy in Birmingham, Temporary position

ITN Mark Education would like to welcome a Teaching assistant with specific SEN experience to apply for this role due to start 8th May until the end of the academic year.

The child you would be supporting has severe learning difficulties and is statemented.

A pleasant child to work with, the school are looking for someone to support and monitor him to keep him safe and integrated as much as possible within the classroom environment. The child is reception aged and based in the nursery setting.

You would be required to work Monday to Friday 08.45am - 12.15pm.

Successful Teaching Assistants will:

  • Have previous experience of working with early years children with SEN needs
  • Be comfortable with toileting should this need arise
  • Have excellent communication skills so as to liaise with the child, SENCO, parents and class teacher
  • Have experience of supporting Autism and Global Developmental Delay
  • Have a calm, engaging and patient manner so this child is fully supported and his learning experience is an enjoyable one
  • Adaptable to different learning needs
  • Be creative and able to prepare resources and adapt learning in order to engage and motivate the child
  • Ensure that your safeguarding knowledge is perfectly sound so that you are fully able to support this child
  • Upholding the rules of the school/ classroom
  • Have a dedication and enthusiasm for supporting children with SEN and aim to get the best out of them

  • Teaching Assistant must have:
  • CACHE Level 3
  • BTEC
  • NVQ Level 3
  • HLTA
