SEND Learning Support Assistant job vacancy in Birmingham, Contract position

ITN Mark Education would like to welcome a SEND Learning Support Assistant to work with us in a range of special schools across Birmingham. Children in these schools have a range of special educational needs including ADHD, EBD, PMLD, MLD, Dyslexia, Visual and Sensory impairment and Hearing difficulties. The staffing team at the school have great resources accessible to all pupils and staff and provide outstanding support to all.

Successful TAs must:

  • Have eligibility to work in the UK hold a NVQ Level 3 or equivalent
  • Have extensive subject knowledge
  • Be able to provide a safe and stimulating environment for children
  • Be able to uphold the schools behaviour management policy
  • Be able to utilise resources effectively to enhance children's attainment levels
  • Be a team player and work well with colleagues and the classroom Teacher
  • Committed to the learning and development of pupils
  • Handle stressful situations patiently and calmly
  • Be prepared to carry out some simple administration tasks such as photocopying
