Secondary Mathematics Teacher job vacancy in Cardiff, Temporary position

ITN Mark Education is looking to recruit a teacher of Maths on behalf of our key client based in Cardiff to start as soon as possible. The suitable candidate will be able to teach KS3 and KS4, although being able to teach to KS5 would be desirable. The school are looking for an enthusiastic and driven teacher who can use a variety of different teaching styles to ensure a balanced approach to the subject.

Suitable candidates must hold a qualified teacher status (QTS) and ideally have the ability to teach up to Key Stage 5 (KS5) level.

We welcome both experienced applicants as well as newly qualified (NQT's) candidates to the role.

The Role

  • To plan, prepare and to deliver your chosen specialism in line with the School curriculum
  • To motivate and inspire the pupils within the classroom to achieve knowledge
  • To manage the class within the school policy guidelines
  • To record each pupil's development journey and meet the requirements of the assessment and learning exam board
  • To have a willingness to promote learning within the classroom
  • To remain up to date with educational developments and changes whilst undertaking the role
  • To liaise with other staff members, SMT and parents alike in the development of the pupils

Suitable candidates must be able to provide

  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Referencing from previous and most current employers
  • DBS (formally CRB) must be registered with the Update Service
  • Must be registered with the EWC
