Science Teacher job vacancy in Manchester, Permanent position

An opportunity has arisen for a dynamic, passionate and ambitious Science teacher to join a 'Good' school in South Manchester. We would like to hear from Science teachers with a strong track record of delivering excellent results; experience teaching Science in KS3 and KS4 is essential and you will deliver all 3 Science subjects. The successful candidate will be extremely professional and will always put pupils first; you must have a strong commitment to raising life chances of disadvantaged children and their families. The school continuously provides high quality professional development for its staff and you will have the opportunity to work alongside a National Leader of Education and a large number of Specialist Leaders of Education.

Applicants must hold Qualified Teacher Status.

The successful applicant will:

* Work with the Head of Department in Science to develop teaching and learning strategies
* Work to identify students at risk of underachieving in Science and put appropriate intervention strategies in place
* Create and share resources that support the development of assessment for learning strategies
* Keep up to date with educational research and share best practice and information with colleagues
* Analyse data, research and review inspection findings to develop curriculum area policies and practices
* Be committed to the use of new technologies to improve teaching and learning
