Science Teacher job vacancy in Somerset, Permanent position

ITN Mark is working with a large secondary school south of Bath, which is looking for a science teacher for a permanent contract from September. You'd be teaching mainly KS3-4, but there is also scope for the right teacher to be given sixth form classes as well. It's an easy commute from Bristol, Bath and even Yeovil if you're determined.

The school is one of the biggest in the area, but is divided up into pastoral groups so there are effectively five discreet 'colleges', modelled after universities like Oxford and Cambridge. The students are mainly from the local town, and behaviour and attendance have been highlighted as very good by Ofsted. Parents of the students are a reflection of the catchment, and there are many opportunities for them to get involved with the school, and receive feedback on students' progress.

The science faculty has recently worked with Bath Spa university on widening participation activities, and due to this has managed to increase student engagement in science substantially. Although the school isn't in a shiny new building, the labs are well maintained and fully resourced with all the practical and computing equipment needed for you to be able to deliver excellent lessons.

We're arranging interviews asap, and if this sounds like something you would be interested in, send in your CV using the link below.
