Romanian Speaking TA job vacancy in Birmingham, Permanent position

ITN Mark Education would like to welcome a level 3 teaching assistant to support Romanian children with English as an additional language across the school and liaise with their parents regarding their education and school life.

The ideal candidate will speak fluent Romanian and have previous experience of supporting children with EAL throughout early years to key stage two.

We are looking for a teaching assistant who will use their initiative and build up an excellent rapport with children across the school as well as staff members and parents. We are looking for a positive go to person who is approachable. The successful candidate will need to be able to liaise with parents, put them at ease and help progress the child's learning and language skills.

Successful Teaching Assistants will:

  • Helping children in all areas of the curriculum
  • Assisting with the preparation of the learning environment
  • Liaise with parents
  • Maintain pupil records
  • Provide support to Romanian children who speak English as an additional language
  • Uphold the rules of the school / classroom
  • Be fluent in Romanian
  • You may also be required to undertake administration tasks such as handing out/collecting papers, photocopying, some light marking, putting up/taking down displays, etc.
