We are recruiting for a highly motivated and dedicated KS1 Teacher for a temporary position within a vibrant and exciting primary school. Candidates should demonstrate a track record of good and outstanding teaching practise. The Y1 Class Teacher will plan, prepare and deliver engaging and inspiring lessons, whilst ensuring the happiness and well being of the children is a priority. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a warm and friendly community with happy children who are well behaved and energetic. We would like to hear from creative teachers with high expectations who are committed to raising standards within a primary education environment.

The successful Y1 Class Teacher will:

  • Be committed to the development of pupils
  • Be confident at managing classroom behaviour
  • Be passionate, driven and enthusiastic about teaching
  • Work hard to close the gap between disadvantaged pupils and others
  • Be prepared to teach across the ability range in foundation stage, challenging and inspiring young children
  • Carefully assess, record, and report on the development, progress and attainment of pupils.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues
  • Maintain a good standard of discipline through positive and productive relationships with pupils
  • Promote enrichment and extension activities
  • Participate in school meetings
