Deputy Head for Mental Health Provision job vacancy in Bristol, Permanent position

ITN Mark Education is working with a specialist mental health provision for young people between 12-19 in Bristol that is looking for a Deputy Head to start asap. The Head realises that you'll probably have to give notice on your current position, so an Easter start works too.

You'll get on well here if you already have experience of working with students with an EHCP or statement for mental health issues and challenging behaviour. Not just in mainstream schools either; to be successful here you'll have to manage students that have been sectioned under the mental health act, and all of the complications associated with that.

We're looking for someone dedicated to providing a quality education to students who have huge barriers to overcome before they'll be able to get back to school. You'll need to be able to keep these students on track towards their GCSEs and FE qualifications, so a willingness to pick up and deliver subjects outside of your specialism is crucial.

You'll be working under a pragmatic, no-nonsense Head who has run a number of special schools and alternative provisions both locally and further afield, and who is determined to make this new provision a success. You'll also be managing a small team of teachers, all delivering a range of subjects, and with a passion for improving outcomes for students in the unit.

If you're interested in this position, or wanted any further information, send in your CV or call Andy at the ITN Mark Education office in Bristol.
