Behaviour Teaching Assistant job vacancy in Cardiff, Temporary position

ITN Mark Education is looking to recruit Teaching Assistants experienced in working with challenging behaviour, for day-to-day and long-term assignments across numerous Primary schools in Cardiff and the surrounding areas. The role will be working as part of a department, and on a 1:1 basis with pupils whilst also supporting the class teacher with whole class activities.

You will be helping the children to engage in in their learning and to support them in areas they are struggling with, as many of the children have additional needs as well as behavioural issues.

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate confidence and experience in a similar role and setting, as well as;

  • The ability to cope with the challenges of working in a Special Educational Needs setting, or Behaviour unit
  • A calm and caring nature
  • Flexibility, commitment and willingness to work and join in with activities
  • Strong teamwork.

The role is a challenging but rewarding one and you will be making a real difference to the pupils!

For this role, you will need to have a current DBS (child workforce only) that is on the update service and be registered with the EWC (Education Workforce Council).
