The Sheffield office of ITN Mark Education covers the City of Sheffield and the following areas:
Retford, Worksop, Scunthorpe, Hope Valley, Wakefield and Pontefract

Why teach in Sheffield and South Yorkshire?

Located in the foothills of the eastern Pennines on the doorstep of the Peak District, and at the confluence of five rivers - Don, Sheaf, Rivelin, Loxley and Porter, sits the leafy city of Sheffield. After a time of recession and decline, Sheffield (formerly nicknamed 'the largest village in England') has regenerated with the traditional industries of steel, iron and coal being replaced by retail, transport and communications, finance, IT and tourism.

Education and Teaching

The city's diverse population of 551,000 (2011 census) is governed by a Labour Council and is served by three NHS Foundation hospitals, two major universities - Sheffield Hallam and the University of Sheffield - and two further education colleges. There are 137 primary and 26 secondary schools (nine of which have sixth forms) as well as a sixth form college. There are also five public and independent schools and 12 schools for children with special educational needs. The city is also home to 32 nurseries and children's centres.

Testimonial

I have been blown away by Rebecca at ITN Mark Education. The whole process of finding your first MET post is so daunting, but I've been supported entirely through the whole process.
Rebecca made me feel as though no question is a daft one and that's exactly what you need at this time. I've been placed in a permanent role in a fabulous school, and I am over the moon, I wouldn't be half as happy if Rebecca hadn't been there to support me through the whole process. I was kept informed throughout and am still being given all the information I need. I've had the opportunity for supply work too which is perfect as I'm finishing university in early summer.
Signing up takes no trouble and couldn't be easier. I couldn't recommend working with ITN Mark Education anymore if I tried!
