Welcome

Worthing High School is a popular and successful 12 to 16 family school. It is a Trust school and has Business and Enterprise status with exceptional national business links. It is founded on the belief that all members of the school community have the right to learn and thrive in an environment which is calm, safe and secure. This ensures that all students and staff are able to reach their full potential.

We recently underwent a reorganisation which created four communities comprised of students from all four year groups and members of staff from within selected curriculum areas. These four communitites were each named after a part of Worthing to illustrate our pride in our home town. This theme was then further developed to create 10 family groups, previously known as tutor groups, within each community, all comprised of students of every age with the intention of fostering inter-year collaboration. This has worked exceptionally well with the result that our ethos is that of a committed working community with learning at its heart.

I firmly believe that we can only be truly successful when the School works as a team with students, staff and parents united in securing the common goal of raising achievement.

We pride ourselves on being a school that caters for individual talents that strengths in a friendly staff community. There are real opportunities for development at Worthing High as we firmly believe in growing our own talent and supporting our team as they progress within the school.
