Six schools made it to the final - St. Urban's, St. Mary's Horsforth, Sr. Edwards, St. Patrick's, Holy Family and St. Michael's primary schools from Leeds and St. Benedict's Primary School from Wakefield - with St. Patrick's being crowned champions.

TheSkipping School is a member of the British Rope Skipping Association and works in conjunction with the School Sports Partnerships. It supports schools, youth groups, and clubs with workshops and competitions and helps children find a fun and enjoyable way to fitness for life. The competition and workshops teach agility and co-ordination, inspires enthusiasm and improves children’s self-esteem and confidence. The school encourages a ‘have-a-go’ attitude to skipping and motivates children to join in with the group sessions or take part in the individual ones. So far, the Skipping School has shared the joy of skipping with over a million children and several thousand adults. Along the way, they have also recruited plenty of coaches to help spread the word.
