CRB Umbrella Service

ITN Mark Education is an Umbrella Body for the Criminal Records Bureau (CRB) and processes checks on behalf of schools, charities and businesses.

Our dedicated compliance team have over 10 years of experience within this field and provide a personal, reliable, cost effective service which is second to none. We process over 2,500 checks per year.

Application Process

1. Applicant completes a Disclosure Form, providing documentation to confirm identity.
2. ITN Mark checks the form for accuracy and eligibility, and process it through to the CRB.
3. The CRB complete their checks and if approved send one copy of the Disclosure to ITN Mark and one copy to the candidate.
4. ITN Mark checks the contents of the Disclosure and forward to the employer.

Candidate Compliance

As a Quality Mark holder ITN Mark Education pride ourselves in having a robust recruitment, selection and vetting process carried out for every candidate that registers with us. The code of practice we adhere to is vital for the safeguarding of children and vulnerable adults which ensures the highest standard of quality and best practice is achieved.

The following procedures are followed rigidly for every candidate. Only when all of these checks are completed and cleared will a candidate be accepted onto our supply team.

• A face-to-face competency based interview is conducted by a trained employee of ITN Mark
• Career history will be checked for omissions or discrepancies
• Eligibility to work in the UK – original documentation
• Full Identity Checks (Photo and address) – original documentation sighted
• Medical Health Checks
• Qualifications Checked – original documentation sighted
• Two recent, written professional references
• ISA Barred List Check
• GTC Registration for Qualified Teachers – Full Registration , Trainee Teachers – Provisional Registration, Instructors – Provisional Registration, Overseas Trained Teachers – Provisional Registration
• Enhanced CRB Disclosure
• Overseas Police Checks, including an Enhanced CRB Disclosure for candidates who have worked outside the UK within the last five years
